Hi, I’m Stephie! I’m a textile designer of all things handcrafted, fashion, gifts, and accessories.
Based in the StephieAnn Shop & Studio in Hove
You’ll find me designing fabric prints, products and personalising gifts with embroidery.
When I was a child I remember saying to my Muma,
‘I’m going to have a fashion brand called StephieAnn’, and today I pinch myself because I can’t believe I made it happen!
I studied textiles at Chelsea College of Art and Design, founding StephieAnn with the support of The Princes Trust in 2014. Since then I’ve hand embroidered over 15,000 personalised gifts, taught embroidery and flower pressing in workshops, and embroidered logos for local businesses. Looking through my poetry book, I design creative prints telling poetic stories through artwork. I paint and photograph before transforming the artwork into digital designs printed onto silk, linen, velvet, and cotton.
My artwork draws from the words of Dylan Thomas, with frozen flowers symbolizing timeless love, and Lord Byron, where underwater blooms explore the play of light and shadow. Expansive, dramatic landscapes are inspired by the escapism in Charlotte Bronte’s poetry, while vivid florals embody the celebratory energy of Maya Angelou’s words.
Embroidered Personalised Gifts
The StephieAnn embroidered collection includes handcrafted gifts, personalised with embroidery. I specialise in both hand and machine embroidery. Working by hand is wonderful and helps keep traditional skills alive. My favourite stitch is a chain stitch featured in the StephieAnn bamboo pyjamas with delicate letters added to the pocket.
Our digital machine (aka Sandra), can transform illustrations, logos and pictures into beautiful embroidery added to scarves, socks and more.
Gift Wrap
Our gift wrap turns your gift into a beautiful showstopper!
Unique to StephieAnn, most products have the option to gift wrap under the drop-down box, ‘How to wrap your order?’
This option is perfect for those on the go and sending straight to the recipient.
Your order will be placed in a gift box being being wrapped in recycled craft paper and tied with twine. I then decorate your order with pressed flowers and leaves collected from my garden. Flowers change with the seasons.
The Gorgeous Hove Shop & Studio
In 2023 I opened the shop and studio in Hove. A five minute cycle from where I live, I love working on a small high street with a bustling community.
In the shop you can browse StephieAnn products alongside other local makers, commission bespoke embroidery and take part in craft workshops.
