Silk Care
StephieAnn silk needs to be treated with care. To ensure longevity, hand wash, inside out in luke warm water with a soft, delicate detergent. Soak for no longer than 5 minutes and rinse with cool, fresh water. The silk in our tops is 95% silk with 5% elastine allowing for extra stretch and durability.
When you’re finished lay the item flat on a clean towel. Roll the silk in the towel and gently press to absorb the water. Lay on a fresh towel to dry or hang on a clothes horse. Avoid drying in direct sunlight. Press by setting the iron on a medium setting with steam. Turn the garment inside out and iron on the reverse. Do not bleach or tumble dry.
Alternatively, silk can be dry cleaned at a company with silk care experience.
Organic Cotton Care
StephieAnn Pyjamas are made from 100% GOTS Certified organic cotton. Organic cotton is not treated with chemicals harmful to the environment. It therefore needs to be treated with care to avoid shrinkage.
To ensure longevity, hand wash, inside out in luke warm water with a soft, delicates detergent. Soak for no longer than 5 minutes and rinse with cool, fresh water.
Alternatively, organic cotton can be machine washed on a maximum 30°C setting.
When you’re finished lay the item flat on a clean towel. Roll PJ’s in the towel and gently press to absorb water. At this stage you may want to re-shape the product by holding the sides of the garment and pulling lightly. Lay on a fresh towel to dry or hang on a clothes horse. Avoid drying in direct sunlight. Do not bleach or tumble dry. Press by setting the iron on a medium setting avoiding steam.
Cashmere and Wool Care
Hand wash in lukewarm water with a soft and delicate detergent. Hang dry using a clothes horse, dry flat on towels, or place between towels and lightly twist to get rid of excess water. You may want to reshape while damp. Do not tumble dry. Press lightly on a very cool iron without steam.
Bamboo Care
Machine wash dark and light colours separately on a gentle cycle. Do not bleach. Tumble dry on a low setting and press with a cool iron.
