Behind the Scenes at StephieAnn – New Website, Products, Hove Shop

It’s been a while since my last blog post – 2025 has been a whirlwind online and in the StephieAnn Hove Shop! I’ve been meaning to sit down and share studio updates for months, but between designing new products, running workshops, and building a brand new website (have you seen it? I’d love to know what you think!), time has flown by.

Here’s a little behind-the-scenes peek at what’s been going on at the StephieAnn…

New Products for Spring & Summer

This season I’ve added two lovely new pieces to the collection. First are our organic cotton caps – I spent ages sourcing the right fabric and was so pleased to find GOTS-certified cotton that’s kind to the planet. They come in white, pink, and mint for women, and navy and mint for men, and look gorgeous with birth flower embroidery.

The new pyjamas are a great addition too – soft, relaxed, and super comfy with a v-neck top and loose-fit trousers. They really complement my classic range and are perfect for cosy evenings or slow mornings.

Embroidery Projects & Commissions in the brighton studio

Embroidery has been a huge part of my creative work this year. I’ve completed several bespoke commissions, but one that stands out is an embroidered ribbon for a hand-tying wedding ceremony. It featured twisted ivy vines and family emblems from both sides of the couple’s heritage.

You can read more about my custom embroidery services here.

Creative Workshops in Brighton

Workshops have been in full swing – nearly one every week! From pressed flower frame making to hand embroidery, it’s been so inspiring meeting everyone and seeing your creativity flourish. June dates for my Pressed Flower Workshops are now open to book, so if you’ve been wanting to join in, now’s a great time! I will be organising another date for the Introduction to Hand Embroidery workshop, please get in touch if you would like to add your name to the waiting list. You can see all StephieAnn craft workshops & how to book here.

June Flower Pressing Dates:

Sunday 8th of June – 12pm

Saturday 21st of June – 4.15pm

StephieAnn Hove shop

There’s a buzz at the StephieAnn shop in Hove with the Brighton Artist Open Houses in full swing. It’s a brilliant event where artists across the city open their homes and studios every weekend in May. We’re part of the West Hove trail – you can find details at aoh.org.uk.

I’ve given the shop a fresh update, with new displays and beautiful work from two local makers: vibrant, hand-crafted ceramics by Hannah Inskip and delicate, handmade jewellery by Terra Goodies.

A Personal Note – An Update on Mum

Earlier this year I shared that my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer last year. She’s now finished chemotherapy and, although the recovery has been slow (including a tough round of shingles), she’s starting to get her energy back. The best news is she’s returned to join me in the shop one day a week – and it’s so lovely having her back – She’s been hugely missed.

Thank you so much for reading and for all your support – whether you’ve joined a workshop, popped into the shop, placed an order, or sent a kind message about Mum, it really does mean the world.

Until next time,
Stephie x
